Icegaze was walking around the forest alone, trying to get a layout of it to form in her mind by the sent's of the tree, grasses and bushed. Then she added how the sound bounced back at her off of tree's and rock's and the sound of a stream running. "Ok. I know my way around now. . . now I should see if I can hunt here or not." she muttered to herself.

Batflight glided through the trees as if she had wings, her paws barley making a sound. She came to a halt when a familiar scent reached her nose, it was Icegaze that cat who just joined the clan. The black flecked she-cat jumped down and landed next to the warrior, '' Hello, Icegaze. Getting to know the territory I see? '' she meowed then looked toward the direction of the setting sun, '' Ah, the sun is setting. It's beautiful isn't it... '' she was quiet as the last beams of light touched the she-cats' pelts. Darkness began to spread and the first warriors of StarClan were beginning to light the night sky. '' But personally, I prefer the night. '' She turned and smiled at Icegaze, her amber eyes glowing brightly in the now dim light.

She smiled sadly when Batflight mentioned the sunset being beautiful. . . truthfuly she's never seen one so she decited to lie. "Ah, um, yes sunset's are beautiful. All colorful and such." she said quitely, trying to rember how Stonepelt described one to her. "Like the last few minute's of sight befor going blind, the color's are more defined and beautiful, then come's the darkness." he told her as an apprentice. "I perfer day time when the sun is up and it's warm" she said truthfuly.

The apprentice was slowly leaping from tree to tree silently. Before the injury, she would have been practically flying through the trees, but now she was at least slightly more cautious. Bit ti mention it was harder now. But even after falling, Rosepaw was unable to stay out of trees. It seemed like her rightful place. Her eyes scanned the forest floor for any useful herbs when the chatting of other cats reached her ears. The darkness of night was setting in, and stars began to twinkle in the sky. StarClan's time was night. Or, that's when they apeared it seemed. Their scents hit her, and she was finally able to distinguished their voices. Icegaze and Batflight.

Batflight shrugged, '' Well lets agree to disagree then, shall we? '' she meowed in a friendly tone to the white she-cat. The deputy wanted to make friends with Icegaze, it must be hard coming into a new clan where everyone already knew each other and know no one. '' Do you want to hunt with- '' Batflight cut off as another scent wafted toward her and after a few seconds she recognized the scent as Rosepaw's. She scanned the trees for a moment and soon spotted the young she-cat, '' Hi Rosepaw! '' she called to her.

Icegaze move her head and eyes about like she was looking for Rosepaw but she already knew exactly where she stood in the tree's. She made it look like she was looking at Rosepaw when she said. "Hello." She turned back around ant sat down, then made it look like she was looking up at the star's, the star's shown in her useless eyes. "Hey wanna hunt?" she asked.

Rosepaw bowed her head in respect to them, her ears growing warm with embarrassment at being caught practically listening in on them. When the warrior offered to go hunting with the deputy, the medicine cat apprentice yearned to join them. But with her blundering along with, they prey would run away within a mile radius. She was healing now though, and that would have to suit her just fine for now. Even if she didn't want it to.

Before the deputy could say anything, Icegaze asked Rosepaw if she wanted to hunt with them. Batflight groaned with sympathy on the inside for the young she-cat because she would probably not be able to hunt with her injury. In an attempt to save the night, the she-cat offered a change of plans, '' If you guys don't feel like hunting, I could show you two around, '' she turned her gaze to Rosepaw to with an inviting flick of her tail, '' you haven't had much time to look around the territory since you became Doveheart's apprentice right? '' Batflight worded her sentence carefully, making it seem like she wanted to show them around and made sure she didn't mention Rosepaw's injury.

She closed her eyes and sat like that for a few second's, she then got up and streched, "If we're going to take a tour we should get going then. . . even if it's night time." Icey said. Icey didn't really like night time cause it was alway's colder. And she didn't want to be out in the cold for verry lovg. Icegaze could tell by both Rosepaw's breathing and step's that she had an injurey. "That isn't bothering you is it?" she asked Rose meaning her injurey.

"It's alright Batflight, you two can go hunting without me." Rosepaw mewed, knowing the deputy was trying to avoid the subject. The apprentice jumped carefully further down the tree until on the lowest limb, and bonded off, landing slightly awkward, but with only minimal pain in her paw that would never heal. It had already been a moon. She pricked her ears when Icegaze started to speak, then stifled a small hiss. Rosepaw hated people talking about her injury. She wasn't helpless without it, like everyone thought, it just meant she couldn't do things normally. Or hunt. Or run. . . The list went on, needless to say. The apprentice composed herself, sitting down. There was no need to get angry. Icegaze just didn't know how touchy the subject was, being so new to the clan. Rosepaw herself wasn't born in the clan, but she had been there most of her life. Or at least as long as she could remember. She sighed deeply knowing she had to answer. "I'm a cripple now. That's why I'm a medicine cat apprentice, because it will never heal. Yes, it still hurts a lot sometimes, and makes life harder. But I can fend for myself well enough." 'And I don't want any more sympathy.' she thought to herself. Ever since the accident, that's the only thing she got from others. Sympathy. If they wanted to be her friend, it was because they felt sorry for her. If they wanted to help. it's because she probably looked like what she was. A cripple!

"Rosepaw, I didn't mean anything by it. And about being cripled I don't want to hear anything about that. Your a meidien cat apprentice right? If you are look into my eyes and tell me what's wrong with them." she said calmy to Rose, she truned her head to face Rose's. If the cripled medicien cat apprentice wanted to say anything about how she wasn't helpless then Icegaze had every right to do the same. Being blind and yet still becomming a warrior is Icey's biggest accomplishment.

Rosepaw staired calmly into the warrior's eyes, looking for anything wrong. They looked like a kit's eyes she had once seen that had been bl- The apprentice's eyes widened only slightly, with only being slightly surprised. Although she was still learning many thing about medicine cat duties, there always seemed to be something. . . Slightly off about Icegaze. "You're blind right?" 'That's different! You can still croutch and stalk well without your eyes. And with being blind, your other senses grow to make up for the lack in one.' Rosepaw thought to herself, not daring to argue with a warrior. Yet. Once she was a medicine cat, they had almost all arguement rights. The thought made her smirk inwardly.

Batflight bit her tounge when Icegaze mentioned Rosepaw's injury, the apprentice was a bit touchy when people mentioned it even if she acted calm when they did. '' Rosepaw... '' she meowed as the apprentice began to walk away but then pricked her ears Icegaze told the young she-cat to look into her eyes. What does she mean... what's wrong with her eyes...? The black she-cat's eyes widened in shock as Rosepaw announced what was wrong, '' You're blind right? '' Batflight turned to the white she-cat and studied her eyes... there was something off... and now that Batflight knew the truth, she realized there had always been something wrong. Icegaze's eyes had always been crystal clear and when someone was talking to her she would turn her head... but her eyes didn't exactly focus on you. '' Why didn't you tell anyone Icegaze? '' Batflight asked the warrior.

"I didn't tell anyone because if people found out they woulf make me stop being a warrior. And being a warrior is my biggest accomplishment, ever. Pluss I don't want what happened in my old Clan to happen here." she said thinking about how EarthClan didn't even let Stoneplet explain that he trained her to help her survive. When she was little she almost dies countles time's cause she was blind and couldn't defend herslef so Stoneplet decited to train her to talk care of herself.

Rosepaw nodding in understanding. The fear made sense, but the apprentice doubted Wolfstar would be so stubborn and blind as to throw Icegaze out because of it. The warrior proved herself a loyal, worthy member of the clan. Wolfstar may be slightly angered about being kept in the dark about it, but if he was so. . . So blind as not to see Icegaze as a great warrior and cat despite her affliction, then he would have many angry cats. "You should still tell Wolfstar. . . He should understand. If not, you have me to back you up, although it may not seem like much." Rosepaw smiled kindly at the blind warrior, even though she couldn't see it.
