Sleetmask walked into the Mossy Clearing with Gladepaw. This was probably the last time they would get to train together before Gladepaw was to become a warrior. "Are you ready?" She smiled to her apprentice.

Gladepaw followed behind her apprentice. I'm going to be a warrior soon... She pushed out all the negative thoughts from her head. I must stay focused! She nodded. "I'm ready Sleetmask.'

Sleetmask nodded and charged at Gladepaw at full speed, she crouch down slowly as if she was getting ready to dive under Gladepaw. At the last second Sleetmask jumped up gracefully and over Gladepaw. She landed behind her and lunged pinning her to the ground hard enough to hold her down, but she was careful about it. Sleetmask smiled. "That is called the Fake Roll. I don't expect you to get it in your first try, but we'll do it a few times until you get the hang off it."

Gladepaw nodded and rolled from under her mentor and shook the dirt off her pelt. She mewled. "I'll try my best Sleetmask."

"I know you will be, because you are a extraordinary apprentice and will be a great warrior some day." Sleetmask smiled to Gladepaw. "I'm going to be so sad when your made a warrior, but very proud of you."

Gladepaw smiled and thought about not having a mentor anymore. She waved her tail. "I bet we will still be good friends in the warriors den."

Gladepaw nodded and ran straight fpr Sleetmask, crouching down slowly and then quickly jumped over he mentor. She missed the landing just slightly but trying to hide her mess up she lunged and pinned her mentor to the ground. "How was that?"

"You did well for your first try. Next time, when you run at me I want you to fake like your going to dive toward me thats when you jump over me." Sleekmask meowed some pointers to Gladepaw.

Pride glowed in the apprentice's eyes as she was praised by her mentor. Gladepaw couldn't wait to be in her first battle. She could all ready feel the adrenaline coursing through her pelt.
