Wolfstar carefully placed his paws, one in front of the other, looking around him intently, searching for something. He had gotten a report that something wierd had been sighted. But, they had been too freaked to tell him what it was. He decided to see for himself. He had a ad feeling about this.

He felt the dry ground under his hard paw pads. It seemed alot drier than usual. For Leaf-fall, there sure hadn't been alot of rain. With every step he took, the ground seemed to crack. Even a snake wouldn't last in tis type of terrain.

Then, the smell hit him. Blood. He quickened his pace and followed the scent. Something, covered in blood, lay partly concealed in a patch of tall grass. But it seemed to be startegically placed so it was hard to miss.

He padded over to the bundle, but quickly pulled away with a yelp of horror. His eyes filled fill disgust and utter shock. "A kit!" he gasped, taken aback by his discovery. And it was. A small kit, dead and covered in stiky blood. It had scratches all over it and it's head was nearly detached from it's body. "Who would do this?" he whispered.

Featherheart walked up to him. She was concerned on why he ran so fast out of camp.
Then she saw the kit.
"Oh.....oh great Starclan....who would do this..."
Then she saw a shadow in the nearby trees.
"Did you see that?"

Wolfstar gritted his teeth and looked up, missing the shadow. "No, but ever it was is lucky I didn't" he growled. looking back down at the kit. It had been slaughtered, to send an unwanted message. Get out, or you'll be removed by force. Wolfstar knew a cat crazy enough to do that. He didn't want to jump to conclusions, but the marks on the kit were too small for a badger, or ever a dog or a fox. They were definatly cat.

Ghostpaw was walking around looking for the rouge that had slashed his neck"I'll kill th-"he froze when he saw the kit by featherheart and wolfstar."My god, what has happened to this kit"he meowed shocked in fear as he walked up.Mabye Shatter, no.Nobody would do something this horrible.

Wolfstar shook his head, his voice sounded rough and hollow. "Thak is a question that I cannot answer. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but I have a feeling I know who did this." he meowed gravely. This upset him, knowing that his clan was in danger. He hadn't even the faintest clue of who's kit this was, but it didn't deseerve this, regardless.

Flooded by rage and grief"I'm going to find this bastard, and when I do"he stopped.I'll rip his jaw off.

Sagepaw was out looking for herbs when she heard the others yelling. She went over to see what was going on. She saw Wolfstar, Featherheart, and Ghostpaw looking down at a dead kit. "Oh no..." She muttered walking up to the little kit and pressed her nose to his fur and preyed to StarClan to watch over the little innocent kit. She looked up and over to Wolfstar and Ghostpaw. "He's in a better place now." She meowed with watery eyes.

"He should've never died like this, never have been mauled to death, mutilated." Wolfstar growled, his large body trembling from his built up anger.

[Ghostpaw]

"This will not go without killing that lunatic, i'll find him and when I do he'll need another body replacment from me mauling him"Ghostpaw growled.

"I know who the kit is......"
Featherheart said, staring down at it.
"It's Stripekit...... poor Snowfur..."

[Ghostpaw]

Ghostpaw froze, now i'm pissed off.He started walking away"If i don't come back to camp i'll be dead"he meowed.

[Ink-Silent-Little]

Inkclaw appeared beside Wolfstar, seemingly out of thin air, and made a soft gasp. "Oh... you poor thing..." she began to lick the blood off the kit, despite the awful taste, and slide its head onto its neck. She looked up at Wolfstar, her eyes like the dark purple of a dusky sky and murmured softly "Should we bring him back to camp....?" a small tear trickled down the side of her face, but she quickly hardened her self, exhaled deeply, and stood up.

"No" Wolfstar whispered coldly, feeling the sunset send a breeze to ruffle his fur. "That would be a sign of weakness in the eyes of our enemy. That would be giving in. I'd say we'd leave him right here, but having been granted nobility by Starclan, that doesn't seem right. We'll burry him right here." his voice sounded like the crunch of snow.

Rainkit cocked her head, focusing on the sound of meows coming from her clanmates nearby. She was searching for her brother, who went missing. She had woken up and he had been gone. Worry burned through her pelt and a rock lay in her stomach. She had a feeling he was never coming home. She followed the voiced until she could see the cats they came from. Her clanmates were surrounding something, and it was all red. "W-what happened?!" Rainkit squeaked nervously.

"It's your brother, Rainkit.....I'm so sorry."
Featherheart said, tears trickling down.
