Up above in a tree, Snowfur was full of sadness, sobbing her heart out it seemed . She had been rejected by the cat she LOVED. I was so stupid! No one would want me even as a friend.
No one liked me when I was a kit or apprentice. Being a warrior is too hard for me now, emotionally.
She felt like she should just run away.

Ashcloud was out hunting when she heard it. It was a cat crying. She followed the sound until she came upon Snowfur, sitting high up in a tree and trembling with heart-broken sobs. Ashcloud clawed her way up the tree until she was on the brunch just below Snowfur and sat down, looking up at the other she-cat. "What are you crying about?" she mewed, her voice both sympathetic and curious.

" I-I told Clayheart abou-about how I-I loved him and h-he rejected me." She said while still sobbing."I've had a crush on him since I was an apprentice and it just hurts so bad." she said finally calmed down. " Of course he didn't love me back. How could I be so stupid?"
She paused "The only thing that hurts more is the fact I have no friends to talk about this kinda stuff with..."

"What do you mean, 'no friends'?" Ashcloud asked, springing up onto the branch beside Snowfur. "Of course you have friends. Everyone in the Clan cares about you, Snowfur. So Clayheart turned you down; I know it hurts now, and it won't go away immediately, beleive me, I know, but it will go away eventually. And besides, just because Clayheart rejected you doesn't mean he doesn't like you. He just doesn't feel the same way about you that you feel about him."

"I may have some 'Friends' but I have no best friend who I can talk to with no limitations and they can do the same for me."

Ashcloud's fur fluffed up in agitation, but she forced herself to calm down. Snowfur was just upset, she wasn't trying to make cheering her up hard. "Sure you do," Ashcloud purred, nudging the other she-cat playfully. "No one has no best friend. Maybe you've met them already, maybe you haven't, but they're definitely out there. You'll find them eventually."

Ashcloud smiled kindly and nudged Snowfur's shoulder. "That's the spirit," she purred teasingly. Truthfully, she was quite touched that Snowfur trusted her. "Now why don't you stop moping and come down out of this tree? We can go hunting together if you'd like."

"That sounds great. I'd rather do something useful instead of acting like some emo cat."
She said nudging Ashcloud back.
She jumped down at the exact same time as Ashcloud and they walked the same way at thne same time, as if they were one. The signs of true freindship.
"Do you think that maybe there's a tom out there who has strong feelings for me but is afraid to ask me?"

Coalstorm sat in the forest, surrounded by beautiful flowers. He had heard Snowfur crying, and now he was going to cheer her up. The tom had always had a crush on Snowfur, but it was obvious that she liked Clayheart. I'd rather have her be happy and without me than be sad with me... The tom thought sadly to himself, But that doesn't mean that I can't be there for her. The big tom gently clasped the stem of a beautiful blue flower in his jaws and pulled it out of the ground.
He made his way though the forest, making sure not to damage the flower, and made his way toward the scent of Snowfur. He was a bit embarrassed to find Ashcloud there too, but it didn't really matter. He nodded hello to them and then padded up to the white she-cat and placed his blue flower at her paws. '' I- I heard you crying... and I just wanted to make you feel better... '' he meowed while looking down at his paws.

Ashcloud looked at her friend, a mischevious glint in her eye. How ironic that right after Snowfur had asked that, Coalstorm had shown up with flowers to make her feel better. "Actually, Snowfur, I need to..." she cast about quickly for a white lie that would seem convincing. "I need to go and see Doveheart. I think I have a tick at the base of my tail, and I want to see if she has some mouse-bile I can put on it. I'll see you later." Ashcloud then turned and padded away, secretly smiling.

She said as she took them from the tom and sat with them at her feet.
"Look, I know you like me but your afraid that I'd rather be with Clayheart. Well he said nout to me but...I liked you more than him the whole time, no lie at all I swear."

Coalstorm took a paw step toward Snowfur and rubbed his black muzzel against her white one. He knew she wasn't lying, that she had loved him back all this time. '' I would love that, Snowfur. '' The tom purred.
