The spray of water looks so beautiful on your fur

[Ember~Rain]

The beautiful she-cat sat at the edge of the river, watching the water slowly pass by. She felt cold and lonely inside. She wished she had someone that she was close to. She wished she had... a mate. Her heart ached and she felt rejected by all of her clanmates. Couldn't any of them see what sort of cat she was? Often toms found her attractive, but they didn't find her attractive inside as well as out. She let her paw dip into the quiet rushing water. It sprayed her fur and made her fur glisten in the sunlight. The spray of the water looks so beautiful on your fur came a gentle whisper. She strained to hear more, but no more words came. The voice had been of a tom, one she slightly recognised, but she couldn't remember who it was. Yet, she felt a bit of hope swell within her. There was someone out there for her. She would just have to wait.

[mouse]

"Hello, Brindlefeather." Sleetmask meowed to her fellow denmate. "How are you?" She asked sitting down beside her by the water.

[Ember~Rain]

Brindlefeather looked up to see Sleetmask. "Hello." she mewed quietly. "Sleetmask, how do you get a tom to love you? I mean, howw do you even get them to notice that you are there?" she asked, her gray eyes pools of emotion.

[mouse]

"I-I don't know. I've never had a tom running after me like that. Most toms avoid me besides Clayheart and I don't think he likes me in that way since has kits with his former mate, Hazelmask." Sleetmask meowed looking at Brindlefeather with honestly.

(Even tho he does but thats another thread and they haven't realised it yet. lol Very confusing.)

[Ember~Rain]

Brindlefeather shook her head and rested her tail on the she-cat's shoulder. "He does like you in that way. Haven't you noticed the way he acts around you? You're very lucky with him. He's not the kind of cat to hold on to a lost family member for long. I-I guess I'm jealous in a way. I have a crush on him, but that doesn't matter. He obviously has his heart set on you."

[mouse]

"It seems like all she-cats in this Clan like him. First snowfur and now you. I wonder who's it going to be next." Sleetmask meowed in a saddened tone. If he really cared for her, he would have said something. She shrugged it off. "I'm not sure even if want a mate at the moment, Brindlefeather."

[Ember~Rain]

Brindlefeather shivered. "I know I do. I would rather be a queen than a warrior." she meowed.

[mouse]

"Maybe one day...but not right now." Sleetmask muttered looking away from Brindlefeather to the water.

[Ember~Rain]

She pressed herself reassuringly against Sleetmask's side. "Having a mate doesn't mean you have to have kits. Having a mate is just having a strong warrior that loves you and will support you till the end. " the she-cat murmured passionately.

[mouse]

"Yeah, i know..." Sleetmask meowed. She understood what Brindlefeather was talking about.

[Ember~Rain]

Brindlefeather looked down at the calm river. "It's beautiful, isn't it? How the moon shines on the river and shines on anything near it" she murmured, swirling her paw in the water to cause little ripples.

(In ma first post, it said there was sunlight, it was sunset and now it's nighttime jsyk)

[mouse]

"Yeah, it is. If you like water." Sleetmask purred with humor.

[xfeatherheartx]

Snowfur ran up to the river yelling, "Help!"
She spotted the two shecats and ran up to them panting.
"Help....Fire in....Barren Fields....Featherheart....Greenlily.... unconscious....."
She said as she got a big bundle of moss and soaked it and ran back to the Barren Fields.

Sleetmask got to her paws fast and grabbed some moss with water and hurried to Barren Field.
