Looking Around

[stream]

Slowly and steadily Streamkit stalked over to the apprentices den. Looking both ways to make sure no one was watching, he stuck his head in and peered around. It was a bit bigger than the nursery, and there was a lot of space since there weren't that many apprentices. I'm gonna be in here soon enough... He hissed under his breath in annoyance at his size.

[Gladetail]

Yawning, Gladepaw was curled up in her nest with her tail over-lapping her paws. She heard the opening off the den shutter and blinked open her eyes. There she saw a small black pelt and tilted her head to look at the kit. "Streamkit," she yawned, "what are you doing in the apprentices den?"

Streamkit jumped when he saw the apprentice stir. He ducked his head hoping he wouldn't be seen, but it was too late. "I just came to look around is all..." He kept the irritation out of his voice. So much for my camoflouge...

[Spruceburn]

Sprucepaw had been snoring lightly next to his sister, his big paws reaching over the edge of his nest. He twitched his ears in annoyance as he heard Streamkit mewl something to his sister. '' Couldn't you have waited until you were an apprentice to come in here? It's really not as cool as you would think anyway... '' the dark brown tabby grumbled as he opened one bright green eye sleepily, looking at the kit. Even though his voice was annoyed, his eyes were playful. He remembered all the trouble he had gotten into as a kit. Streamkit's little expedition into the apprentices' den was nothing compared to Sprucepaw's own exploits. He nudged his sister playfully, '' Maybe we should chase him out, eh Gladepaw? '' he asked his sister, teasing the small kit lightly.

His eyes widened and let out a hiss. "Don't act like I'm not here!" Twitching his ears he stared at the apprentices with annoyance and confusion in his eyes. I'm in a Clan with them?

[Gladetail]

Gladepaw's eyes grew wide and nudged Sprucepaw. "I'd rather not." Amusement flickered in her eyes and she then turned to Streamkit who was staring at the meancingly. Sighing she got up and padded out of the den and sat in front of him. "It's a little late I think you should head back to the nursery." Gladepaw waved her tail in front of him so she could guide him back to the nursery.

Streamkit just stared at her tail. "But what's the big deal? It's boring! Squrrielkit and I are the only kits there and she sleeps most of the day away!"

[Spruceburn]

Sprucepaw rolled over onto his stomach and got to his paws, '' Hey, hey, hey! He doesn't have to leave so soon! The nursery is so boring! '' he complained as if he was a kit himself. The young tom cuffed the small kit playfully on the ear, '' Why don't we go out into the forest? Since you'll be with me, you'll be quite safe. '' he meowed proudly. '' What do you say, little buddy? '' he asked Streamkit. '' If we get caught, '' the tabby apprentice continued without waiting for the kit to respond, '' I'll take the blame. I get in trouble all the time, I don't care. '' he said with a little snort of laughter. Spurcepaw flicked his ear at Gladepaw, '' You can come too, if you like, '' he added.

[Gladetail]

"Of course I'm coming!" Gladepaw sneered, but a hint of a purr was caught in her voice. "The last thing I want is you two going off and doing something completely mouse-brained!" She looked back at Streamkit. "Are you sure you want to come along? You don't have to let Sprucepaw pressure you!" Again, playfulness stained her words as memories of her as a kit with her littermate drifted quietly to the front of her mind. Just like when Sprucepaw use to sneak out of camp... Smiling and hopefully she waited for the kit's response.

Eyes glittering of the Silverpelt, Streamkit turned his head so they wouldn't see how anxious he was getting. "I guess I'll come along..."

[Spruceburn]

'' Even if I am mouse-brained, you know you love me! '' he teased his sister then sat back down, suddenly looking very serious. '' Okay, we can't all just march out of the den and walk out into the forest. It'll be to suspicious, '' he meowed in a low voice to Gladepaw and Streamkit, '' so instead of marching, lets run. '' With that the young tabby quickly got to his paws and flashed out of the apprentices' den, kicking up some mossy bedding in his wake, out the camp entrance. The last thing they saw of young Spurcepaw was his tail tip going out into the forest.[/color]

[Gladetail]

Nodding Gladepaw turned to the kit. "You have to be quick." Turning back she sprinted out of the den without making a sound and flashed out of the entrance, waiting for the kit to follow along.

[maplepaw]

Maplepaw nearly collided with Sprucepaw as he tore from the entrance and into the forest.
Yellow green eyes scanned the tom, amusement dominating her features. Her tail tip twitched slightly as she jumped nimbly up into a tree. Brother was followed by sister as Gladepaw made her way out of camp as well.
"Got a fox on your tail or what?" She teased, wondering where her Clanmates had to get to so quickly.

[stream]

Determined, Streamkit built up all his energy and ran after the others, trying to make himself light so he wouldn't be heard. Finally he was standing along side the two apprentices, panting hard.

[Spruceburn]

Sprucepaw shrugged, tapping his tail against Maplepaw's nose. '' Why do you wanna know? '' he asked her in a slick voice that only the one and only Sprucepaw could do ( xD ). The young tom was soon accompanied by Gladepaw and Streamkit. '' You coming too? We're showing Streamy here the territory, '' he invited the she-cat. He turned his head to Streamkit, who was panting hard, '' Good job Streamkit. '' he praised the black kit.
