Talking with Friends

[Ink-Silent-Little]

Inkclaw was laying outside the warriors den, peacfully sleeping in the warm sun that dappled her pelt in the shade of some oaks. Opening her violet eyes, blinking, and yawning thouroughly, she stood up and padded to her friend, Toxicstep. "Hey Toxic, whats up..." she meowed sleepily, her eyes still drooping slightly.

Toxicstep padded into camp carrying a squirrel that was almost as big as her. She set it down on top of the fresh-kill pile and took a much smaller thrush for herself. The small she-cat saw Inkclaw approaching her and she set her meal down, '' Hi Inkclaw, just woke up I assume? '' the she-cat meowed, taking in the other warrior's tired expression, '' Would you like to eat with me? '' Toxicstep invited Inkclaw.

Leopardfrost exited the Warrior's Den and saw the two she-cats meowing friendly greetings. He gave a luxurious strech and padded over to join them. "May I share with you two?" he meowed.

Inkclaw smiled and nodded to Toxicstep, then to Leopardfrost. The black she-cat took a bite of rabbit, then swallowed the fresh meat and sighed, the musky but sweet flavor resting in her mouth. She gestured for her friends to eat also.

Toxicstep laid down beside Inkclaw and bit in her thrush. After swallowing her mouth full she spoke, '' I'm worried about the barren fields. I saw some two-leg kits there for the third time... ''

Inkclaw's blue-black pelt rippled with a strong growl, and murmured "Thats not good...theres been too much two-leg action around here for my liking...". Shaking her head and taking a bite of the thrush, she looked around, her glowing neon eyes survaying the camp keenly.

Midnightshadow's huge white form padded into veiw from the entrance of camp, his bright yellow eyes glowing. Droping the burden of three mice on the pile and taking one for himself, he layed down near the she-cats and dipped his head to them before eating his fill.

Leopardfrost flicked his ear in acknowledgement. "I know what you mean. I'd think the hawks would keep them away. There is nothing there, I don't get how it interests twolegs in the first place." he growled. Midnightshadow settled down with his mouse near them. "Hey, Shadow! How's the prey running?"

Midnight smiled at his friend, Leopardfrost, and replied to his question, "Pretty well, I would think. I caught three mice, a squirrel, and two starlings within the last twenty four hours." He smiled wolfishly and finished his meal, then scooted nearer to his friend and the two she-cats. He started into the conversation, "So, more two-leg brats on warrior territory? I hope they don't find the camp, but they probobly aren't smart enough to, anyway." He chuckled slightly, thinking of confused two-leg kits trampling through the forest and falling over roots.


Inkclaw nodded to the black-pawed tom, and cast her glowing violet eyes apon Leopardfrost. Blinking, she asked him, "Perhaps us four could go to the training hollow for awhile, practise some battle moves. I've been wanting to try a slightly complex one for quite some time now". Still not blinking frequently, Inkclaw stood up, shook the dust away form her pelt, and began trotting on her toes towards the camp entrance. Looking over her shoulder, she raised an eyebrow.

Toxicstep nodded to Midnight shadow as he joined them then swallowed her bite, '' Back in the city, it would take about five of us to get rid of a few two-leg kits. They aren't to bright, a stick could entrtain them for moons... '' she muttered and then finished off her thrush and followed Inkclaw toward the camp enterence. '' Do you think we should tell Wolfstar about this first? '' she asked the other warriors.

Leopardfrost nodded. "Toxic's right. I'll go and tell Wolfstar really quick. Don't go without me." he meowed, winking at them before he padded to the leader's den.

Inkclaw nodded, compleatly forgetting about asking. She smacked a paw to her head, and then sat down, waiting for Midnightshadow and Leopardfrost

'' After bushing up on some fighting moves, us four could probably teach them a lesson, '' Toxicstep meowed as she waited for Leopardfrost. '' I'm sure Wolfstar would give us the privilege of fighting off those brats since we're all experienced warriors too. ''

Snowfur walked out of the nursery and walked over to the group.
"Hi. I decided to leave the nursery while the kits are sleeping. How are you all?"

[Ink-Silent-Little]

Inkclaw's maw curled into a slight smile, and meowed "Yes, I think we could do that. Show those two-legs that the forest isn't safe enough for their precous kits...". Starting a-bit, she looked at Snowfur and smiled. "Good to have you back. How are the kits?"

Leopardfrost hustled back. "He says it's ok. Oh, hi Snowfur! How're the kits doing? We were just going to practice some battle moves. Too bad you can't come. In a few moons, maybe." he meowed.
