Fawnspeckle now felt guilty for the way she was acting. Enough had happened to Birdsong, and she didn't want to make it worse. She walked up to the other she-cat and gently placed her tail on her shoulder. "Don't worry. I won't judge you. I said I would be there for you, right?" she smiled.

Birdsong smiled at Fawnspeckle. "I'll just take a quick swim in the river, wash off this blood. I'll be right back." She dashed over to the river and dove in, swimming a couple of laps before climbing back out. "There we go." She wanted to pretend that the incident with the fox had never happened, and as she shook her pelt out mewed, "Why don't we go hunting? The Clan could always use more fresh-kill."

Fawnspeckle nodded and smiled. She took a delicate step forward then raced towards the forest. The fresh smells hit her in the face and she was over-whelmed by the scent of mouse.

Birdsong raced after Fawnspeckle and paused just behind her as the other she-cat stopped to scent the air. She could smell mouse and rabbit, and not to far off was the scent of a robin. Birdsong chose to pursue this particualr scent. She loved bird-hunting, it was something she was particularly good at. She pinpointed the robin and then began stalking towards it, he haunches rocking gently. When the robin was in her sight she crouched low and then pounced, catching it easily and finishing it with a swift bite. She then carried it back to where Fawnspeckle had been and set the bird down to wait for the other she-cat to return from catching her own prey.

Fawnspeckle went in pursue of the mouse, her favorite meal. She saw the creature nibbling on beech seeds underneath a big tree. She got into the hunters crouch and crept silently forward. Pouncing swiftly she landed lightly on the mouse and quickly finished it off. She dropped it silently on the pile beside Birdsong's.

"We should catch a couple more things before heading back to camp," Birdsong mewed, scenting the air. There was a chaffinch nearby, and she immediately slunk off in its direction. "Meet up with you at sunhigh!" she yowled back over her shoulder. It wasn't long before sunhigh now, but it would still be enough time for them to catch a fair amount of prey.

Fawnspeckle turned left and went out on her own. Now the sun was almost at the center of the sky, which kept the area below hot. ---------(My laziness in which she catches prey)------------ By the time she made it back to their fresh-kill pile, she was panting. She set down a rabbit and a shrew in the pile then made towards the river for a refreshing drink of water.

((this thread kinda died, so unless you see a way to conintue it, i'm just gonna wrap it up now XD))
Birdsong returned at sunhigh with a thrush, a chaffinch and a mouse. Dropping her fresh-kill on their small pile she padded over to where Fawnspeckle stood by the river's edge. "I suppose we should fresh-kill back to camp now," she mewed after a quick drink. "I should probably get some sleep; Featherheart might want me on the moonhigh patrol, and I don't want to be out of it when the time rolls around. You ready to head back?"

Fawnspeckle licked her paw and drew it over her ear. "Sure!" she mewed purring. She gently picked up her pieces of fresh-kill without making them bleed. "Let's go!" Her words were muffled as she began to pad back to camp.
