Sagepaw waited for Greenlily to meet her here. Its was time to tell her how she really feels about being a warrior. Her heart really told her that she was longing to take the path of a medicine cat.

Greenlily padded to the place that Sagepaw had mentioned and came to a stop in front of her apprentice. She could smell the young she-cat's nervousness, and she grew mildly concerned. What was bothering Sagepaw so much? "You asked to speak with me?" she mewed, sitting down and curling her tail over her paws.

Sagepaw smiled when she saw Greenlily. "Yes. Its nothing against you, but my heart longs to be a medicine cat not a warrior.

Greenlily blinked at the revelation, but she wasn't entirely surprised. "I understand, Sagepaw. I've always followed my heart, and so it is only fair for me to let you do the same. May you be successful on the path you have chosen." She padded forward and licked her former apprentice between the ears. "Good luck," she added in a friendly purr.

"Thank you." The pale grey apprentice meowed in return to her former mentor. "You will always be dear to me..."

"As will you to me," Greenlily purred. "Just become the best medicine cat you can be. I'm proud to have been your mentor." She nodded to Sagepaw, no longer the superior dip of the head of a warrior acknowledging an apprentice, but the respectful bow of a warrior acknowledging a medicine cat. "May StarClan guide your paws along the path you have chosen."
