Squirrelpaw dashes out of camp and runs right to the Thunderpath. "What's this?" she wondered looking at the Thunderpath

Wolfstar ran over to Squirrelpaw. "No, don't!" he yelled. Suddenly, the ground began to shake and rumbling became heard. "Squirrelpaw, get away from there, now!!" he yelled, knowing that a monster sped ever closer.

Squirrelpaw turns around and dashes towards Wolfstar. "What's that?" She gives it a last look and then waits for Wolfstar's reply.

Wolfstar stiffened as the monster rushed past and looked down at Squirrelpaw. "That was a monster. It transports twolegs. They hide inside it's belly. Most importantly, it can kill a cat. Never go near the black path, or, thunderpath." he meowed, grimacing at the memory of Spruceburn getting his flesh on his face eaten away by fire.

Squirrelpaw listens in horror. "It kills cats?" Her tail droops as she whimpers, "I didn't mean to Wolfstar."

"Don't worry, Squirrelpaw. As long as you stay a safe distance away, they don't bother you. They never come into the woods, at least, the monsters don't. But twolegs can be just as dangerous as monsters, so remember that." he meowed. The gray tuxedo tom looked around to see if there was any activity on the Thunderpath. Silence. "Ok, your safe for now, Squirrelpaw. Just don't go up close to something you have never seen before. Curiosity can kill a cat."

Squirrelpaw nods and slowly cheers up. "Okay Wolfstar. I understand now." She pads up to a tree root and brings over a rabbit. "Here you go."
