Cherry winced as the razor-sharp claws ripped through her flesh, but was careful not to move too much. "Ebonyfang, I didn't mean to rile you up. I just wanted to know why you were asking about me and Jetstar. There's nothing there. Honest. We're just friends, if that. Leader and deputy, nothing more. This I swear on StarClan itself. Besides, if there was something between us, do you really think twould have stayed a secret this long?" She shook her head and looked up at the other she-cat warily. "Now can I sit up so we can discuss this civily, or are you just going to kill me?"

Though Ebonyfang was still angry, she sheathed her claws and took a few steps back, her eyes still narrowed in suspicion. "Are you crazy? Why would you lie about such a thing as that? I would've killed you, no questions asked." she growled, staring angrily at the she-cat.

"I dislike lying, but you were being dishonest yourself, so I thought twas only fair," Cherry mewed, sitting up slowly, carefully. Her back stung, but she ignored it, her eyes on Ebony. "Had I known you and Jetstar were together, I wouldn't have made such a jibe, but since I didn't..." she shrugged, but regretted it when her wounds flared in protestant pain. "So how long have you and our leader been an item?" she purred timidly, genuinely curious but not trying to pry.

Ebony rolled her eyes. Now she was just being ridiculous. Were cats that blind? "I have been with Jetstar since before the clan formed, before we laid seige on Sunclan. When he first came up with the idea of attacking Sunclan, I was there. We, we just clicked. And, ya, I guess he is my item. I have to say, he is one sexy bastard!" she purred.

Cherry purred in amusement as Ebony's infatuated remark. "I'm glad you think so," she mewed, smiling kindly at her Clanmate. "You must make him very happy," she added. She then got to her paws and winced when her scrathes flared. "Remind me not to get on your bad-side again," she grumbled, rasping her tongue over the cuts to try and soothe them. She only succeeded in making them worse. "I'd better go and have Lightclaw take a look at this," she mewed reluctantly, getting to her paws. "Tis never good to get between a she-cat and her mate, I suppose," she chuckled to herself.

Ebonyfang nodded her head. "Yeah, you don't want it to get infected. We can't have Moonclan's high and mighty deputy falling out on duty, now can we?" she purred icily. She knew that Cherryblossom was a good deputy, but Ebony couldn't see the greatness, only the weakness.
