Snowfur sat in the same tree she fell in love with her mate in.
But she's been doubting his love for her lately.
When she heard a rustle of leaves, she turned to face where she'd heard it.
"Who's there?"

Coalstorm's broad head and shoulders appeared out of the leaves, a flower clasped in his jaws. He set the flower down at his paws and looked up at his mate in the tree. '' At first glance I thought you were a bird, which troubled me. I thought to myself, I need to feed the clan but how could I ever kill such a beautiful creature? '' he meowed to Snowfur, his affection clear in his eyes.

Snowfur jumped down from the tree and landed at his paws. "Of course, I should have known."
She said as she rubbed her muzzle against his and licked his nose. Then she gave him a sad look. " I can't believe Stripekit is gone.... Featherheart said Wolfstar even refused to let him have a proper vigil." She said, tears welling up in her eyes.

Coalstorm licked her cheek comfortingly and then gently wiped away her tears with one big paw. '' Stripekit's life was short but full of love, thanks to you. The times he spent here were happy, and now he's in StarClan where he will never fell cold, hunger, or sadness again. '' He ran his tail against Snowfur's soft fur, '' And when the time comes we will see him again. ''

"True... but that still won't stop me from missing him.."
She said as he wiped her tears.
" Why haven't you come to see us in the nursery? I understand that clan duties can keep you away but did you even know that I fell out of a tree and almost died?!"
She said accusingly.
"If Wolfstar wouldn't have found me, I'd be dead!"

Coalstorm glanced nervously at the ground, the tip of his tail twitched. '' I... I know I've been a horrible father and mate... I'll understand if you never forgive me. It's just... I wasn't sure about the idea of kits. I know I love you, but... Becoming a father...? I thought if I just ignored it they would go away after a while... '' the tom gulped and hid his face in Snowfur's shoulder, '' And that's exactly what I got. Stripekit is dead and I don't even think he knew my name... ''

She said back to him.
"I haven't see you so much I thought you were."
Snowfur said, tears welling up again.

She said as she walked away but Coalstorm stopped her.

Snowfur began to walk away, her words like claws piecring his heart. Coalstorm stopped her, '' No. I lost you once for carelessness, and I'm never going to let it happen again. What did you not understand about you are my life? Without you my life is nothing. Without you I'm nothing! Please give me another chance Snowfur! '' he pleaded to the white she-cat.

She said turning to face him.
"To love or not to love. I choose love."
Snowfur said, purring in delight. She climbed up a tree and sat on a branch. Their branch.
"Shall we watch the sunset like the night we fell in love?"

Coalstorm purred in delight as Snowfur accepted him again. His life wouldn't be ruined after all. He climbed up the tree after the white she-cat and sat on the branch next to her, pressing his coal black pelt into her snow white one. '' The day the sun never rises will be the day I stop loving you... '' He meowed, '' Oh StarClan, even if the sun never rose I'd still love you. '' He smiled and licked her affectionatly.
