"I-I'm fine sweetie. The question is, are YOU okay? Where have you been?"
She said as she bent down and started washing Cloudkit.
"We were all so afraid. Even your father went out to look for you. We thought you'd joined Stripekit."

"I'm sorry, mom," Cloudkit mewed sheepishly. "I went out for a walk, and Weepingkit asked me to stay with him for the night, and I thought no one would miss me, so..." She lowered her head, bracing herself for the tongue-lashing she was no doubt about to recieve. She glanced around, wondering where Weeping had gotten to.

Finishing cleaning her daughter, Snowfur looked up and called out,
"Weepingkit, you didn't hurt me I'm fine. Please come out."

[Weepingkit]

Weepingkit stood there looking at his paws, *Has being on the run this long really done this to me? I live in such fear that I attack even my loved ones...* A tear rolled down his cheek when he heard Snowfur call.
"Weepingkit, you didn't hurt me I'm fine. Please come out." He wiped the tear from his eye and walked out into the open his head down. I-I want to apologize..." Weepingkit said his eyes still facing the ground, "For all the trouble I caused..." He said as a tear trickled down his cheek and hit the ground.

Snowfur walked up to the kit and when he lifted his head she used her paw to wipe his tears.
"Believe it or not I know how you feel. I killed that rogue by the river the other day because he was one of the cats who helped kill my mother." She said, wiping a tear from her own face. "But the cats of Sunclan brought me in. They trained me and now I'm one of the best warriors. The same could happen for you."

[Weepingkit]

Weepy walked away and sat down.
"Your destiny is not my own." He hissed baring a fang, he then turned to Cloudkit and ran next to her, and nuzzled her behind the ear.
"But out destines are intertwined." He then turned around and sped off into the forest.

[Ember~Rain]

Rainkit looked from left to right. Her sister and her mother seemed to have wandered off. And Weepingkit also. She blinked the sleep out of her eyes and yawned quietly, wishing she could go back to sleep, but she couldn't ignore the familiar voices up ahead. She poked her head through the brush and saw something that made he heart skip a beat. A tight knot formed in the pit of her stomach. Weepingkit nuzzled Cloudkit, her sister, and ran off. She wouldn't take it. She crouched down low and sprang at Cloudkit, bowling the smaller kit over. "What is wrong with you!?"

Cloudkit watched, wide-eyed, as Weeping rejected her mother and turned away from her. He then came up to her and nuzzled her behind the ear, and in response Cloudkit rasped her tiny pink tongue over his shoulder.

She blinked when he murmured in her ear, confused, but before she could say anything he'd turned and bolted off into the undergrowth. Cloud was about to follow him when she heard the sound of thundering paws and the next she knew she was pinned to the ground by Rainkit.

"What is wrong with you?!" Rainkit yowled at her. Pain and anger were obvious in her sister's voice and stance, and both emotions befuddled Cloudkit.

"I have no idea what you're talking about!" Cloud mewed in confusion, struggling to get out from under her sister. "Get off of me!"

[Ember~Rain]

"No! I won't get off of you! You, how could you! Why? Why would you be all cutezy cutezy with him? You know how I feel about him! Why have you betrayed me? Why?" Rainkit hissed, digging her claws into Cloudkit's arms slightly.

Cloudkit squirmed futilely as her sister hissed at her, venom in every word. She wasn't sure how to respond to that, or even if she should. All she knew was that Rainkit's claws digging into her arms were extremely uncomfortable and bordering on being painful.

"Rainkit, please! What did I do here? He nuzzled me, not the other way around! Get off of me so we can talk about this!"

Cloudkit knew that she wasn't being entirely honest. She liked Weeping a lot. She felt a little stupid. They were kits, for crying out loud! They weren't even apprentices yet, and they were bickering over a tom? How dumb could they get?

"Come on, Rainkit," she mewed finally, giving up her struggles. "What aree you going to do about it anyway?"

Almost imperceptibly she glanced over at their mother, who was standing stalk-still and watching her daughters with a bewildered expression. Surely Rainkit would get ahold of her self, if not for her own sake for her mother's?

[Ember~Rain]

"But you licked him! You returned his Keep you in check since you're so little. I'm your big sister so I get Weepingkit. Why do you want him so bad? What do you see in him? He used to be a rogue! He doesn't even seem your type!' Rainkit rambled on. She paused, getting back to the point. "The point is, he's mine, so keep your paws off or I'll keep them off for you!" With that being said, Rainkit sheathed her claws, got off of Cloudkit, and took a few steps back, her eyes narrowed and her tail whipping.

Cloudkit rolled to her paws once Rainkit had released her, but her fur had fluffed up indignantly. "You can't just stake a claim on him like that!" she hissed. "He's a cat, not territory!"

She narrowed her eyes at her sister, her tail lashing back and forth furiously. So she liked Weeping, big deal! They were kits, and that meant that they didn't have to worry about mates for seasons yet. But still, the fact that Rainkit was challenging her for him infuriated her.

"You always have to have everything, don't you?" she hissed, her ears pressed back dangerously. "The one time something goes my way instead of yours, and you have to steal that, too! I may be younger than you, but that doesn't mean you automatically get first dibs!"

It was an argument they'd had many times before, and yet, as it always did, it rang true in Cloudkit's ears, even if Rainkit denied it.

[Ember~Rain]

Rainkit rolled her eyes. She had heard these complains many times before. "Cloudkit, if you are so worried about me taking things away from you, work for them, so it's impossible for me to steal them. Stop complaining and whining like a baby and actually make an effort for something. We're almost apprentices for Starclan's sake!" Rainkit growled.

Cloudkit growled at her sister. "I do work for things, Rainkit! And I'm willing to work for Weepingkit if that's what it takes to keep him away from you!" And with that, she threw a despairing look at her mother before racing into the trees after Weepingkit.

She wasn't really searching for him, she just wanted to get away before Rainkit exploded at her. If her sister gave chase, so be it. As she crashed through the undergrowth, she finally realized what she'd said and slowed down to a steady walk before stopping entirely and plopping down.

I'm willing to work for Weepingkit if that's what it takes to keep him away from you!

Had she really said that? How could she have said that? Yes, she liked Weeping a lot, but it was his choice who he cared about. And Rain was her sister, she couldn't just be so cruel to her like that! And yet... somehow she knew that Weeping wasn't meant to get with Rainkit.

Cloud wasn't sure if he was supposed to be her own mate, but she knew there was no way he was supposed to fall in love with Rain. She knew that was harsh of her, and she wasn't sure why she felt so certain it was true, but she did. Why was her life so complicated?

[Weepingkit]

Weepingkit, who was only a short distance away from were Cloudkit was doubled back to see what was happening, that is when he smelt Cloudkit. *What is she doing out here?* He turned to her scent and landed in front of her.
"Wh-what are you doing here? Why did you try to follow me? Is everything alright my love?" He said with curiosity in his voice, unknowing of the fiasco with Rainkit, or the fact he just said my love.
