Ouch!

[Goldenblaze]

Goldenpaw limped into the front of the medicine cat's den, looking for either Rosepaw or Doveheart. He had been trying to learn a new battle move, and somehow it went terribly wrong, and now his hind leg hurt like crazy.

"Erm...Doveheart? Rosepaw?" he mewed quietly from where he stood.

[doveheart]

Doveheart padded up to meet the apprentice.
"Yes Goldenpaw?" She mewed.
It took one glance to his back leg, suspended awkwardly off the ground, to know that something happened during the young tom's training.
Warriors, i swear. The medicine cat mumbled in her mind.

[Roseflight~Stonepaw]

Rosepaw poked her head out of the den, looking to see what they had been called for. She saw the young tom, and it was obvious his hind leg was hurt, but it didn't look broken. The she-cat breathed a sigh of relief, knowing it would heal if it was properly bounded.
"I'll go get a couple sticks to make a stint." Rosepaw told her mentor, and walked out of camp in search for properly sized ones. She came back quickly with two nicely sized sticks that would fit the other apprentice well enough.

Doveheart let out an amused purr, shaking her head when Rosepaw came back.
"Theres no need for any of that. Its only dislocated." She mewed.
Instructing the young warrior to lay on his side, the medicince cat ran her tail along the leg. She nodded more to herself after examining the injury. Disappearing into the den, she came back with a poppy seed.
"Eat that." She ordered Goldenpaw, "Rosepaw, place your paws there." She instructed, pointing with her tail.
Dislocated joints came rare, so it was a good thing Rosepaw could learn now rather then wonder what to do later.

Goldenpaw looked down, embarrassed.
He took the poppy seed in his mouth, eating it like Doveheart ordered. This was obviously going to hurt, but as a warrior, he'd need to get used to pain to some degree.

"I'm sorry to be a burden. I should have been more careful," he mewed.

Rosepaw did as she was instructed and looked at the apprentice. This would hurt, and then be sore for awhile. At least the poppyseed would block most of it. A good bit of sleep would make it heal faster anyways.
"With what I'm about to do next, I'll be the one apologizing" Rosepaw laughed slightly.

Goldenpaw laughed lightly at Rosepaw's comment.

"Well, it's to fix me, so I think I can forgive you," he smiled.

"I suggest you hold your tounge for a bit so you dont bite it." Doveheart mewed.
The she-cat gave one swift glance to Rosepaw, then pulled. A pop was heard, showing the leg was put back in place. A hiss from Goldenpaw came, but at least the pain was dulled or the apprentice would have yowled insted.
"There. Now go rest and dont do something stupid until the muscles have healed completly." She instructed.

Rosepaw flinched slightly when the warrior apprentice hissed in pain. At least it hadn't been as bad as it could have been. She nodded her head in agreement with her mentor, hoping he would be follow her orders. Just because she was training to be a medicine cat didn't mean she liked seeing her clanmates in pain.
"It should be better by morning, but still slightly sore when strained."

Goldenpaw looked at his leg, fixed now, and nodded at the med cat's words.

"I won't do anything stupid, I promise," he mewed, "Thank you both."

He bowed to both cats, before limping out of the den, careful not to put much weight on his injured hindleg.

Wolfstar watched his apprentice wobble out of the den. He touched his nose lightly to Goldenpaw's shoulder in a show of affection." You should take the rest of the day off. You aren't going anywhere for the rest of the day. I want you to be able to go on the dawn patrol tomorrow." he meowed.

Goldenpaw nodded.
"I'll be ready for dawn patrol. I promise!" he said as he walked toward the apprentice's den.
