Wolfstar leapt up on top of the Shining Rock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, join beneath the Shining Rock for a clan meeting!" he called. He sat down on the Shining Rock and waited for his clan to gather
Seeing that every cat was there, he began. "Goldenpaw, you are ready to become a warrior. Goldenpaw, do You promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend the clan even at the cost of your life?" the apprentice meowed a solemn "I do." "Very well. From this moment on, you will be known as Goldenblaze."Wolfstar jumed down from the rock and rested his muzzle on his head, and he gave him a quick lick on his shoulder in return. Before cats began to call his name, he meowed, " You will sit a silent vigil tonight and your duties start tomorrow."

Goldenblaze nodded, going over to where all new warriors sit silent vigil, and sat down, curling his tail over his legs.

Wolfstar padded over to the warrior, resting his tail on his shoulder. "You don't have to start your vigil yet. It is time for a feast!"

Doveheart called Goldenblaze by his warrior name, along with the rest of the Clan. A purr of amusement vibrated her frame when the young tom went to sit vigil right after. She stood up and stretched, a feast would do them all well.

Goldenblaze nodded, a bit embarrassed, and went to the fresh kill pile.
He quickly chose a piece and stood back for everyone else to pick their meal.

'' Golenblaze! Goldenblaze! '' Sprucepaw cheered for the new warrior with his clanmates. Even though they hadn't been apprentice's together for long, Sprucepaw liked Goldenblaze. He padded over to him once the cats started preparing for a feast, '' Goldenblaze, eh? Cool name! You're so lucky you're a warrior now! '' The young tom meowed enviously even though he was happy for his friend. He then leaned in toward Goldenblaze, '' Mind if I move in on Birdpaw, y'know now that you're a warrior. You won't want to be seen with an apprentice, right? ''

Rosepaw's voice rang out with her clanmates' congratulating the newest warrior. The medicine cat apprentice was glad for her friend, she really was, but the event also ssaddened her. Goldenblaze was about the same age as her. If she had still been in warrior training, they probably would have been made warriors together, but her leg had tied her to the duties of a medicine cat.
She hobbled over to join him and Sprucepaw, smiling at their antics.
"Congrats Goldenblaze" she purred happily.

Goldenblaze purred in amusement at his friend, Sprucepaw.
"I dunno, Sprucey, I thought a lot of toms went after younger she-cats," he teased.
"And, I'll bet your warrior name will be cool, too."
He turned as Rosepaw hobbled up to them, congratulating him.
"Thank you," he mewed happily to his friend.

Wolfstar rolled his eyes at Sprucepaw. "Aren't you a bit young to be thinking about taking a mate? You've got plenty of time, though, I guess she is the only she-cat available to you. What about you, Goldenblaze? You got your eyes on anyone?" he meowe.

The deputy walked over to Goldenblaze, '' Congratulations, Goldenblaze. Be prepared to freeze your pelt off because you'll be sleeping right by the den wall! '' she meowed teasingly as she cuffed the new warrior's ear playfully. The black flecked she-cat rolled her eyes as she realized that the three toms were talking about she-cats. She looked at Rosepaw, '' Toms... ''

Goldenblaze thought about the she-cats he was closest to. There was Birdpaw, whom Sprucepaw obviously had a fancy for. Then there was his close friend, Rosepaw, but she was going to be a medicine cat. The only other she-cat he really talked to was Sprucepaw's sister, Wolfstar's daughter, Gladepaw...
"I...I dunno," he said, embarrassed.

Rosepaw laughed at her friend's embarrasment, and at Batlfight's comment, although she would have to agree. Toms seemed to have a hollow skull most of the time. Especially new warriors, because of their new ego.
"I agree with Wolfstar. It's way to early to think about that stuff." The medicine cat apprentice had never thought about kits when she was younger, and even when she knew she was forbidden to have them because of her new place in tha clan, she didn't really think about it. Rosepaw didn't think she would make a good mother anyhow.
"You have to be a great warrior. For both of us." she murmured beside him, unsure if he heard or not.

"Must you act like we're pecies of prey for you to pick off?" Doveheart scolded lightly, coming to stand next to Batflight.
Like the deputy, she had overheard the words exchanged between the toms. It made her want to crinkle her nose, it sometimes made her think that all they ever thought about was hunting and finding a mate.
