Clayheart shrugged as he looked at his paws, '' Sometimes I do... I mean, I hope she does. But even if she doesn't care for me, I care for her so much it hurts. '' he meowed quietly. Should he tell Sleetmask? Maybe this would all be easier if it wasn't such a secret. '' Sleetmask... It's just to hard to say, but it's even harder not saying it. I, I really like you. Not just as a friend or a clanmate, but... '' the tom trailed off at a loss for words.

Sleetmask looked down at her paws, then she sat down by him and smiled. "I really like you too, Clayheart. More than I've let myself show you and I'm sorry." She whispered pressing her head to his chest.

Clayheart drew in a sharp breath of shock as Sleetmask pressed her head to his chest. It felt so right, '' You shouldn't be sorry... '' he licked the she-cat in between her ears, '' It doesn't even matter now. We have each other and that's what matters now. '' he whispered to her.

Clayheart twitched his ear uncomfortably. Honestly he had no idea how his son would react to this. '' I'm sure he'll love you. '' he meowed soothingly to her. He paused, '' Do you think Snowfur will be ok? '' he asked her.

Sleetmask shrugged. "I don't know Snowfur that well myself, but I'm sure she's going to be fine with time. Just like I told you, you would." Sleetmask meowed. "I hope Hazelpaw is OK with me. I'm not trying to replace Hazelmask in your lives. I just want to be apart of them."

Snowfur walked back into camp happier than ever.
She came and sat by the two cats.
"You'll never guess what happened! It turns out there is another guy that loved me the whole time and I loved him too but didn't even realize it!"
She said excitedly.
"Coalstorm is my new mate! But I hope you and me can still be friends, Clayheart."

'' Hazelpaw will know, it may take time but he'll realize it. '' Clayheart meowed soothingly and then turned as Snowfur came back into camp, surprisingly happy for a cat that had ran out crying. He smiled at the she-cat, '' That's great Snowfur, and I'll always be your friend. '' he purred and then rubbed his muzzle against Sleetmask's, '' I think there has always been a spark between us, it was just so dark we didn't even notice it. ''
