There was only a second of hesitance. After this, there was no turning back, at all, even if she found something else in the clan to do.
"I do." she said firmly.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your true name as a medicine cat. Rosepaw, from this moment you shall be known as Roseflight. StarClan honors your knowledge and certainty, and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of SunClan."
Doveheart ended the ceremony by placing her chin on her apprentice's head. After her shoulder recived a lick, she backed off and looked at the newly named medicine cat. Amusement made her whiskers quiver.
"You are still my apprentice though." She teased.

Roseflight's heart soared with pride. She was a true medicine cat now!
"I know." she purred back to her mentor. "Now I just need to get rid of you." she joked, gently touching noses with Doveheart. The older she-cat meant a lot to her apprentice, whether she knew it or not. It seemed like Doveheart had raised her at times. She was proud to be her apprentice, and always would be.

Doveheart was on her feet, tail tip twitching nonstop.
"Back to camp we go!" She purred.
Again, with a bounce in her step and a spark in her eyes the medicine cat lead the way out of Crystal Caves, like so many times before. This time though, she had a full fledged apprentice. It was sort of odd, Roseflight was still an apprentice but she had a true name.

She smiled, trailing beside Doveheart. There was a bounce in the older she-cat's step that made Roseflight purr slightly. Now she was a full apprentice, with her full name as if she had gotten her warrior one. It was perfect. This moment was perfect. It seemed like nothing could shatter the peacefulness.
Roseflight purred.

As the two medicine cats came back into the camp, Goldenblaze was out guarding. He scented them, and saw Doveheart smiling, with an unusual spring in her step. He smiled, and caught glimpse of her apprentice following close beside.
"Can I safely assume something good has happened tonight at Crystal Caves?" he mewed in greeting to the two she-cats.

Doveheart nodded in response to Goldenblaze's question. She wasnt going to say it though, that would be up to the calico.
"I would say so." She purred, trotting off to the fresh-kill pile for a late night meal.
Picking out a mouse, she padded over and laid down outside of the willow curtain and began to eat.

Roseflight let her mentor walk on, and sat by her best friend. Her smile was wide, and she was happier than she had been in the past few days from all the stress and confusion. Being a full medicine cat didn't really simplify anything, but it gave her something to be happy about. The glimmer in her eyes was unmistakable joy. And now she was able to share it with her best friend.
"What's up?" she said lamely though, wondering what he would say.

Goldenblaze purred, "That's good. But...what happened?" He was curious, so he asked the calico cat, his dear friend.

"Hm?" she purred jokingly. "Oh! Yes. . . It's nothing big. I'm just a full medicine cat now."
Roseflight looked at him, grinning mischievously.
"Just a silly new name and all that. Roseflight. So weird!"
But Goldenblaze would know how much the name meant to her. It had been what she had been dreamed of being called once she was a warrior, in name of her speed. Despite its old use, she still loved it for today.

"Just dont let it go to your head!" Doveheart called across the quiet clearing.
She didnt need keen hearing to tell by Roseflight's expression that she had told Goldenblaze her new name. The she-cat shook her head, they would always act like the newly made apprentices in the eyes of the medicine cat.

Goldenblaze's eyes lit up as Rosepaw, no Roseflight told him of her new name.
"Congratulations! I'm so happy for you," he pressed his nose against her cheek.

She purred at his warmth. The nights were starting to get chillier, and yet Goldenblaze remained warm and there for her. Roseflight would always look forward to sitting beside him.
"This just means I can boss you around now." she laughed quietly. Now that she was a medicine cat, she could yell at warriors that wouldn't listen when they needed healing. . . Fun?

Goldenblaze smiled. "You've always done that, what's changed?" he retorted.
He looked at Roseflight with pride. His best friend had finally become a full-fledged medicine cat, and she had gotten the name she's always dreamed of. He felt a shiver of happiness run down his back.

Doveheart was watching the two cats quietly. Her eyes narrowed at Goldenblaze, though not from anger. She was remembering the faint scent of his, mingled with something else. Seeing the tom in the waking world made her want to figure everything out rather quickly. Yet she couldnt help but purr at the two cat's warmth for each other. It was no secret that they were close friends.
