"Oh no! Are they alright?" he fretted jokingly, pretending to have taken her words literally, "No wonder I have no mate! I keep murdering all the girls!"
Goldenblaze shook his head. He wasn't a "ladies man" ...or "She-cat's tom" whatever term you used. When he thought the term, he thought of Sprucepaw, only...better at talking to cats respectively...

Roseflight laughed, more than she had in a long while. It seemed only Goldenblaze could do this, and it felt nice. . . No worrying over injured cats, not worrying.
It was nice.
"No wonder indeed." she laughed back.

Goldenblaze smiled as Riseflight laughed. It was a beautiful laugh, and it wasn't like he heard it often. He enjoyed seeing her laugh, making her laugh.
"It really is no wonder....at least to me," he muttered to himself.

"Don't worry about it. . . It's still awhile before any of that is really expected from warriors your age. You still have time to choose whichever she-cat is right for you." she meowed sympathetically. Roseflight hated to know she was the cause of much of his confusion about. . . females in general. But there wasn't much else she could do.
It was hard when you loved your best friend. . .
And even harder when you weren't allowed to.

"I wonder about you sometimes." she purred, nudging him with a paw, laying beside him still. Roseflight found her gaze filled with stars, and she somehow pictured her parents among them, despite never seeing them, or hearing how they look.
"But do you ever wonder about our parents? Who they were, how we ended up away from them here. . . Was it fate we both wandered to the same clan?"

Goldenblaze thought about it. He never really remembered his parents. He was just a kit when he wandered to SunClan......
it didn't mean he never thought about them....
"Maybe it was fate...I'm glad....I got to meet you," he purred.

"-Let's always be friends. Alright?" she looked at him. Roseflight felt like a kit asking of this, but she didn't want to grow distant from him. That would kill her more than seeing him with another she-cat.

He laughed. Always be friends. He remembered asking the same of her many moons ago, when they first became apprentices....
"Don't be mouse-brained!" he nuzzled her, "Of course we're always gonna be friends!"

"Just checking. . ." she purred softly. Goldenblaze kept her warm, the grass was comfortable. Sleepiness hit Roseflight like a wave of ocean water, forcing her yes to shut for a moment. But they struggled open again. She had to stay up for Goldeblaze. If he could do this, she could to.
It was almost like proving herself able to be a warrior in a way. If only. . .
If only. . .

He nodded, stretching his limbs. Sitting still the entire night not only made a cat tired, but stiff as well. He nudged Roseflight playfully, noticing her struggle to keep awake. He purred at her.

She nudged him back, smiling.
"You can just shush stiff-limb." she laughed softly. Rosflight rolled onto her stomach, hoping she wouldn't nod off. Goldenblaze didn't need to have to watch over a sleeping she-cat and camp. So she tried her best to stay awake.

Roseflight looked up, startled to find another presence with them. But it was only Sleetmask. . . Her sister. She hadn't told Goldenblaze yet. The subject just hadn't come up in conversation! Maybe now would be an alright time. . . If there was the chance at least.
"Hello Sleetmask." she nodded respectively to her older sister.
