She waited outside the medicine cat den, wanting to speak with Roseflight. Gladepaw's tail twitched with questions that were unanswered and was keeping her awake every night. She was always tired when Sleetmask had taken her out to train, and she didn't want to slack off. She needed to talk with Roseflight. Gladepaw sat patiently for the medicine cat apprentice.

Roseflight nosed her way out of the den through the barrier that gave it privacy. When she finally exited, she took a small step back, surprised to see Gladepaw waiting outside, almost running into her. What was the apprentice doing here waiting?
"Gladepaw?" she questioned simply.

She stared at Roseflight, looking her over. Inside Gladepaw was shaking at the thought of what could be true broadcasting in her head. "I needed to talk to you..." Keeping her emotions to herself, Gladepaw stood up straight and stared directly at Roseflight. She lowered her voice. "It's about Goldenblaze."

Her stomach did a flip. Surprise flickered across her gaze, but Roseflight maintained her slightly confused face, tiliting her head to one side slightly.
"What about Goldenblaze? He just left for a patrol. Did he hurt himself already? The clutz!" she laughed softly, thinking of her best friend. The laugh wasn't faked. The medicine cat apprentice could see him tripping over his own two paws, pulling a limb then coming to her den whining like he had once as an apprentice.

Gladepaw's gaze harder. They've been friends for so long... is it possible that they... could have developed a relationship along the way...? Hey gaze focused on the shecat. "You are a medicine cat apprentice... so i say this with respect...." Gladepaw froze, "Have you developed a relationship with Goldenblaze?" She made sure her voice didn't crack, although pain coursed through her pelt at the thought of Goldenblaze and Roseflight together... She knew she wasn't the only one thinking this. She remember Doveheart staring at the two after Roseflight recieved her full medicine cat name. I just need the truth...

Roseflight's ear burned with slight embarassmen. She had been cught, again. By Gadepaw.
"No. . . But I do have some feelings for him," she admitted, knowing that there was no denying it. But how much of the clan knew this? Would Gladepaw divulge her secret simply because she like Goldenblaze too?
"But I know my limitations. Goldenblaze is my best friend, and I respect his decisions. Including the ones about pther she-cats and starting a family. I'm willing to let him start his own family, even if I'm not part of it. And I know how you two fancy eachother too. So. . ." The she-cat gave a small sigh and shrugged.

"That is not for me to decide. . ." she said it simply. Roseflight knew it was tearing at them both, but she was unsure who it hurt more. The medicine cat dare not assume it was herself simply because she did not fully know the other she-cat's feelings. She knew Goldenblaze had some sort of feelings towards her, although he was trying to sort them out. It was obvious for the proper choice for the tom of which she-cat to pick.

Gladepaw nodded, but her paws were frozen to that spot. Her mind was swriling in confusion, anger, sadness, and she couldn't decide on what to do. Her gaze didn't break away from the shecat.

"But you cannot expect me to simply stop feeling for him, or being near him," she warned lightly. The two of them were best friends, and not even another she-cat would tear that apart. . . Could they? Already they had drifted apart slightly, but they were trying to maintain their friendship. It was so hard with different paths though.

Gladepaw waved her tail firecely at the medicine cat apprentice. "I understand your friendship, but don't forget your position at the Clan." Gladepaw's gaze was dark. She thought that if Roseflight was never a medicine cat apprentice.... would that mean...? She hissed under her breath at the annoyance of having to think about something like this.

"I have something that reminds me everyday, thank you." She hissed slightly. Many things actually remied her. But the biggest reminder had to be carried wherever she went, preventig her from so many things.
So why was Gldpaw trying to remind Roseflight? Was she that inlove with Goldenblaze?
Or just that desperate?

Gladepaw didn't move her gaze from the shecat. "I understand." She thought that Goldenblaze had just lead her astray, and wanted the lies to stop, or was it just Roseflight messing everything up for her? Or was it Goldenblaze causing all this trouble? Gladepaw jumped when she realized her claws were unsheathing and sheathing and quickly sheathed them like nothjing had happened.

Her eyes broke away from the apprentice's eyes for a moment, glancing down at her receading claws. Roseflight looked back up at her with a slightly blank face, eyes locking again.
"Do you?" she questioned. "And you best control your temper. A hot head can cause unnecisary battles and problems."

Emberpaw dropped his vole on the fresh-kill pile. For some reason, strong tension was in the air. He shrugged and figured it was just his imagination. He decided he'd go and find Gladepaw. Though few cats realized it, he had a horrible crush on her. What was strange was that her scent led to the Medicine Den. Wory fluttered inside of Emberpaw. He sprinted towards the den, coming to a sudden hault as angered voices came audible. Two she-cats were arguing. He peeked around the corner and saw Roseflight and Gladepaw. Phew, she's ok, he thought with relief. He decided to wait for her. But, though he didn't like to eavesdrop, he couldn't help but be drawn in. The name kept being said. Goldenblaze. Goldenblaze. Goldenblaze. No... he thought. Gladepaaw liked Goldenblaze, not him. Even though he already knew that, it still pained him. But then, Roseflight felt for him too? He didn't even care if it was forbidden as a flower of hope bloomed in his chest. He made up his mind and turned towards the she-cats. He looked from one surprised gaze to the other. "I love you!" he blurted out to Gladepaw.
